Blue Eyes white Dragon Patterns

Description

:iconlegendarydragonstar: asked me for patterns of my Blue Eyes White Dragon plush I sewed. Unfortunately I had throw them away after using the originals for my plushie so I had to draw them completely new.

I named every part you need for the dragon. For a better view I chose to write letters in all patterns and write the names of the parts down below. Now I'm going to describe which steps I did to complete my Dragon. Also I will tell some things you can do better than I because it was my first plush that I sewed so it has some littel mistakes I wouldn't repeat while sewing a second one.
By the way: You can enlarge or shrink the patterns like you want to, they all are realated correctly to each other. But don't forget to give it some addition to sew without problems.

First of all you need to get the usual things to sew a plushie, for sure. ^^
The wing pattern has to be cut ou 4 times for both wings. I filled them with felt which was a little thicker than usual to give them a little more stability. Sew both wings but don't connect them. As you stuffed them, lay them away until you attach them to the dragons body.
Cut out part B and C twice. Attach each Part B to a C. Then sew the Bodyparts together. Turn it correct and stow it with cotton. Cut out Part D once and close the Body. Now take part E and cut it out once. Sew the longer edges together to get a tube. It will form the throat later. Attach it to the Body at part D where the circle is tagged. Then stuff the throat. Now cut out the back leg 4 times to get two hindlegs (back leg 'F' in the picture) in the end. Stuff both and attach them to the body at the tagged circle which is closer to the tail. Repeat the step for the forelegs (G). Attach it to the other circle which is tagged near the breast. Now cut out the soulders 4 times to get a nice pair of those things. After sewing two of them together for each part, cut the circlre out which is marked. Sew the new edges together and put them onto the forelegs.

So far you should have a Body with legs and a throat. The wings should still be withou any attachement to the rest at this point. Looks weird, I know. Let's continue with the Description.

The feet have to be cut out 8 times because I used the same pattern for all feet. Sew two of them together four times and don't foget to stow them with cotton! Next step is only attachment. Feet to the stumps of the legs. Let's do the part with the most pieces!
The head!
Cut out (J) 4 times. Attach two of them to one together. You'll need them at the end of the head, so you can put them to the wings for now. Now cut out (K) once and (L) twice. Sew the upper Edges of the Headpieces together and attach the back of the head at the left edges. Leave the bottom open for the moment. For the Mouth (M) cut the patterns out twice and sew the straight edges together. It's a little longer than you acutally need but that way you can put small pieces into the dragons mouth later. ^_~
Now cut out (P) four times or double the lenght of one part. I used white felt for nice teeth. Sew the teeth onto the mouthpart you sewed one step ago. Be careful because it might be a little tricky to attach the felt the right way so the teeth will be at the right place in the dragon's mouth later.
The next step is sewing the upper head to the upper part of the mouth. Don't close the upper head! Stow it with cotton but don't close it!
For the Jaw cut out the parts (N) and (O). You'll need (N) twice for the left and right side of the jaw. Attach (O) with it's rounder edge onto the lower edge of one part marked as (N). Repeat this with the second part. Your jaw should almost be done at this point.
And now sew the lower mouth part (which should be hanging around at the bottom of your upper head) and the jaw together. Again, don't close the jaw. You still need to stuff it. Even after stuff it with cotton don't close it.
It is time to attach your head to the throat which shouldn't be closed to at the moment. Sew them together after checking if you stuffed the parts. Now you should have a sweet Lizard without face but with teeth. ^__^
Now take the mouth armour (J) and sew one for each side onto the head. We're almost done!
Last step: Sew on the wings!
For the final look stitch on the motif I marked with violett lines. Use a bright blue for them and a draker blue for the eyes of your dragon.

Well... that's it. Your Dragon should be finished now. I hope I did a good job with the description of the steps. If not, tell me so I can do better next time.
